Among the political spam in my in box one subject line caught my eye.
Help President Trump's Movement! My first thought, "Why? Is he constipated?" And I deleted it without opening.

Reply to JCM in 5: I prefer to buy new and keep the vehicle until it runs into the ground. Yes, I eat the depreciation up front - but not in the long term. At least I know there aren't hidden problems. BTW, when I traded in my last car I got significantly more than I expected for a trade-in. The dealer had done all the maintenance and could see it had been maintained and knew the condition it was in. Yup, I paid more than if I went to the local garage, but the local garage went downhill after the guy that started it retired.

Reply to JCM in 5:
You expressed deep concern about the infirmity of the truck based on the weakness of the original asking prices, and offered to purchase it at a 25% discount of the initial price?

Reply to Kosh's Shadow in 6: That's my plan kept the last truck 20 years and 200k miles. When monthly repairs are more than car payments time to get something new.

Reply to Syrah in 7: I did have a brilliant idea on the way home cash my insurance payout check for my totaled truck. When I go into the dealer, stack all those $100 bills on the desk at the beginning of the negotiations.

Reply to JCM in 9: I am in the market for a used commercial truck. was that dealership in snohomish or King co? It sounds like I would like to avoid them, if they also sell commercial box or step-vans.
