Oldest boy is taking a shower. He must have met a girl. A real one -- not just one of the characters in Hentai.

Thanks for the truck advise in the morning thread. The ‘73 is scratched of the list. I was able to look at and test drive a ‘93. (Isuzu NPR, Grumman). (190,000 OD) Diesel Automatic, aluminum body. One previous owner. The dealer replaced the transmission after he bought it. It ran very nicely, except for a whine that sounded like it might be from the rear end. It was present when you would press on the gas pedal but go away when you let off. (I don’t know much about the mechanics of these things. My brother, who has has rebuilt a few cars, thought it was a back end issue. Later in the day, We went to a local truck repair place that I had dealt with for a previous employer and asked them about it. They said it may or may not be that big of a deal and if it needed repair would likely run around $1,500.00, or worse case $5,000.00, but that would be for a complete rebuild. They said that these step vans are very good vehicles, that this one didn’t sound all that bad to them, except for the mystery noise, that they couldn’t be sure of till they heard it for themselves. I thought it was fun to drive. it would need new tires. Those aren’t cheap I will look at a few others before I make a choice.

In #2 Kosh's Shadow said: Time to get a shotgun/ There is a kind of steel called maraging steel, not to be confused with marriaging steel, which is used for shotgun barrels./

My truck saga is over! Go back do the dealer to finish getting the truck with nav. Sales manager, the one who tried to tell me there was no deal for the nav system, says the truck with the nav is $4K more. I say, fine, no deal cut me a check for my down payment. He's like "what"? I tell him, no I'm not paying that, picked up my bag and head for the door. He says give me two minutes and comes back and says, okay this truck is loaded it's worth a lot more (I know that), how about just a thousand more..... deal I say. Oy-vey. Two months hassling with insurance then I have to play this game. at least I got a nice truck with a lot of the features I like at a good price.
