Here it was wind (11 tornados). During Monday's severe weather storm a power grid substation was damaged.  Many thousands are still w/o power.  Saturday afternoon is the estimated time when for all power will be returned.

Browning tree branches/limbs are piled along many a roadway still.

I keep hoping the giant oak tree in front of my house would get hit and crush my car. It has a bunch of body damage because I'm a terrible driver, but I can't afford a new one.

Our worst power outage was a November iirc ice storm. Took 4 days to get power back.

A friend owned a new truck that needed servicing often.  His daughter got into a wreck in it (no one was injured) which totaled the vehicle.  The daughter was a bit panicky and afraid of her dad's reaction. 

He was so happy to be rid of that lemon.

We had the dead tree in our front yard cut down. It would have taken out the power and phone to the house.

Too bad I can't send our old protective standard poodle to bite your ass. He's long gone now, but did bite a fedex man who came in despite the Beware of the Dog signs.  Years of overpriced insurance after that, even though there was no claim. (Metropolitan, Snoopy is NOT a good symbol for you!)

This one is alive and well. I like the fact that the shade keeps the western side of the house cool, but it also prevents me from growing anything in the front yard except hellebores and hostas. The roots probably run under my house, too.

Reminds me of a scene in the Conehead movie.  Michael McKean proposes collars be placed on deportees and an electric fence be placed on the southern border.  If the deportees try to reenter the country through the border . . . cinders.
