Where I work, since it is run by an educational institution, there are interns. One girl (I'm old enough that she is a girl to me) has quite "decorated" legs, which she shows if it isn't too cold.

In my mind, I refer to her as Lydia.

There are times when I feel like the odd one out here in the Pacific North West. 

I have no tattoos and no piercings in odd places.

Airport scanners don’t give a hoot for me.

I was out with some friends (one of whom has piles of tattoos) and it seemed like all the waitards had tattoos as well.  Personally, I don't get it.

Reply to lucius septimius in 6:  It always bothers me to see an otherwise nice looking young woman with tattoos- especially 'aggressive' ones. I feel that she has never dreamed about attending a fancy dinner party or office get-together is a nice gown or dress. That lack of optimism about the future seems to me symptomatic of societal problems. 

I have seen some tats that are truly works of art, but precious damn few of them are. 

Of course I also don't get why anyone would have their face, head, and neck covered in tats unless they are hardcore gang members...
