Not to cavil, Kosh, but I notice that there is no strikeout icon in the text menu.  Sometimes you need a strikeout for the proper emphasis.

per our conversation below, do you think that Michelle could be shielded from the rough and tumble of having to deal with Trump in the campaign?

that is where she is weakest in my opinion.

Aloha!  Welcome to the diaspora! (Slides over a Margarita.)

per our discussion below.

if Trump were to make Michelle cry, would that make people confident that she could stand up to a Putin, Erdogan, McConnell, or even Trudeau?

i think it would be fatal.

one of Trumps strengths is that he is not so gentlemanly as fail to press an advantage or exploit a weakness he sees in a female opponent. It is like the incident with Pelosi. She likely was rude to him and he attacked and it escalated from there. (Trump is predicable, he reacts and he hits back.) Trump plays by different rules.

Well, you can use the html editor - the </> way to the right/ Put what you want inside <strike>out</strike>
This is what you get

out

Then

Forgot to say you have to click </> again to close that view. I clicked create instead. Twice.

Unfortunately, I did not write this editor (neither did Bare write the one he used; it was one of the two free editors I could find)

This one works better with mobile devices

If your answer to this musical question is "no", don't worry

Just read Cab Calloway's Jive Dictionary!

And Buzz - read this

Michelle Obama seems like an almost ideal candidate to gain broad support among Democrats. In December 2018, Gallup named her America’s “most popular woman.” On top of this, former President Barack Obama is still immensely popular with Democratic voters.

Michelle Obama could capitalize on the support of the well-known coalition of voters who energetically elected her husband to two terms. The former first lady is also relatively scandal-free, while candidates like Biden and Warren are struggling to overcome political baggage. (Ukraine for him, Cherokee heritage for her.)

Although Michelle Obama has ruled out running for president, Democratic front-runners should still worry.

Some interesting things in the "Jive Dictionary"---and some interesting elisions.

For example, "Ground-Grippers" were not merely shoes, but a particular brand of nearly-orthopedic shoes; my father used to wear 'em.  We called them "peanuts," because that's what they looked like.

I notice that the dismissive term "Drip" does not appear in the list.  Note that "drip" actually refers to someone infected with gonorrhea.

"Ruled out?"  Not in the least. "Currently denied"---which is quite a different matter.

And when have the Obamas ever actually abided by what they have previously "ruled out?"

There is a way to add it to the Summernote editor I am using, but that will have to go on the list after reset password and complete profile later if you forgot to initially (see jcm's posts for why)

Unless I find it is really easy

So my interactions with my four-year-old son this evening included him criticizing me for smiling too much; and him becoming genuinely sad that there are no more dinosaurs. I need a drink.

Explain to him that dinosaurs evolved into birds.

Someone might be able to cologne dinosaurs?  Well, they'd undoubtably smell better...
