The Squire is abed, the Lady is hobnobbing with friends and family, and I the knight is relaxing in the keep with dark rum and peace. Work was a hellstorm today. lots of packaging of product from the time I started until the time I finished. Thinking it's the folk from the locked down areas invading our peaceful demense. At least I have the seventh day to rest, and work on small home projects.

Load ammo for when the Americans invade for food because of the not-so-Green New Deal

I had a long drive back from Florida today -- got home and had to cook dinner.  Finally can stop and put up my feet.

Meanwhile, the early dark keeps telling my body it's past midnight and I should be asleep.

So you weren't dinner for hillbilly cannibals?

There's no food here, only the death and fear of the tundra. Wise men go seeking elsewhere. Only mad men and those with nothing left seek that which doesn't exist here.

I hope your return home is much better then your time away. Haven't commented, but been following it.

Slept in.

Fixed a heater in the house, we have those in wall electric units. Only thing about the house we didn't like when we bought it.

Got the shopping done.

Wife car then had a error message, I checked the codes and took in to the dealer, they had a slot open and had diagnoses in a couple hours. The waited for another hour for a loaner. Everything covered under the extended warranty I bargained for we bought the thing.

That pretty well shot the day.

Got dinner on now. BBQ Pulled pork sandwiches.

It sounds as if things are pretty hot in DC per @BREAKING on Twitter.  The Rude Boys are fighting with BLM/Antifa. Some of the hotels where Trump suppporters are staying are under seige by Antifa.

I'll bet those sandwiches will be delicious. I had an early dinner with a former employee who worked for us in the late seventies and early eighties.

With an extended warranty, it is worth going to the dealer.

Otherwise, most car parts places can tell you what the error code means. I have done that. If it is something I can handle, fine, and if not, I can tell if it is something that needs to be dealt with right now or later.

Last time I did that, one of the two oxygen sensors had failed. Since the other was OK, we could wait until we had time to get it fixed, and I could explain that it was not critical to get it fixed immediately. We actually have a very good car parts chain around here (Precision Auto Parts). Funny thing is,  their cabin air filters fit right, but not the name brand they have. They took that back (I checked in the parking lot) and let me replace it with theirs.

On my wife's car a Pirus *hangs head* we went in at the end of the ear, got a good deal and I got them to put in the extended warranty for 6 years or 125k miles.

The fault is a speed sensor on one of the wheels, that shuts off the ABS, and a whole lot of other stuff.

Yes, that is a serious problem.

Our cars are both Honda Fit - they are probably better for the environment than most electric cars.

I really need to see how much gasoline equivalent goes into recharging electric cars. I will  guess that they pollute more given the current dependency on fossil fueled electricity than economy cars. And that they would be completely uneconomical if they had to rely on expensive "green" energy. At least the Prius is a hybrid.

The Prius uses a nickel metal hydride battery and not a lithium.

Far less rare earth elements in it and less toxic metals.

The Prius' seem to be pretty nice little cars.  We found them to be pretty big inside.  Our old cab driver had one and my disabled husband could get in and ride comfortably in the front passenger seat.
