Rock, and "punk/new wave" rock were bad enough. "Grunge?" Hell, no; sorry, but I'll stick with pre-bebop jazz.

Reply to @PBJ3 in 8: manageable, but tiring. By five-year-old standards, he’s quite good about understanding the situation and that for the time being, daddy can’t play with him quite as vigorously as usual.

Reply to buzzsawmonkey in 9: Yes, very much so. Actually, I got him a sense of involvement in my whole recuperation process by having him read to me the directions for my physical therapy home exercises while I was doing them.

I'm sure you're tired. It's great that he has so much understanding of your situation. You have a good little son there.

Reply to @PBJ3 in 17: My wife has to be gluten free (she can tolerate a bit, crumbs, etc., but gets sick if she eats any. I can tolerate more, but still have to be careful. I can't drink an entire beer, but I can have an egg in an English muffin. I also avoid regular pasta. I can have pizza, but she has to have GF pizza. And I need to finish up and go to bed soon.

Reply to Kosh's Shadow in 18: BTW, you and Buzz had me laughing about the jukebox and npr, LOL. I would have said Huff Po but NPR was funny too. Sadly, our daughter who used to be a republican, listens to NPR now and knows people who work for Huff Po.
