The pre-vid ads are starting to get me down.  And yes, I know there are ad-blockers, but I'm having enough trouble with the damn machine as it is.

Ad blockers can't block youtube video ads, as they show up as part of the video. Usually, you can skip over them after 5-15 seconds.

For the Battleship New Jersey museum, I specifically put up with them because they told me the income from the ads are really helpful. I had said I hope they get a lot from all the ads - so they said they did.

I wonder how long before we HAVE to watch propaganda before doing anything. 30 seconds hate first, then the video.

I find it funny that in NYC, bikers are on bikes, not motorcycles.

I've hardly been in Manhattan for months; the last time was when I was driving through on Canal Street to get to the Holland Tunnel, back in mid-November.

If I were in a situation such as described by the article, I would not forget the accelerator.

Absolutely.  In that situation, if at all possible, DO... NOT.... STOP.  And do not get out of the vehicle (unless you have no other choice, or... you're armed).

It's also a good reminder for city driving; when approaching a stopped vehicle in front of you, even at an innocuous red light, don[t just pull up to within a few feet of that car and stop.  Leave yourself enough room to pull around that car, and/or to be able to drive forward and reverse violently, if need be.

THANKS AGAIN, PROGS, FOR FUCKING UP 50 YEARS OF SLOW, PAINSTAKING PROGRESS MAKING AMERICA'S BIG CITIES LIVEABLE AGAIN.
