I got 12 PCs upgrade, boss got the other 3 done.

Design team has new SSDs and 64GB of RAM.

We should be rockin' and rollin'.

Next is to migrate the designer database server to the cloud.

.How many layers do your boards have?

One of the complex boards for the phased array antenna is 22 layers, with blind, buried micro vias. The via drill count is going to be around 3 million. We have 8 designers full time on the layout for this board it the schedule is for 2 months for layout.

Holy s#%^! That’s complex! Make sure they all use the same origin! /

Not so different than what I've heard of where I work. One group meeting the PCB layout team presented what they can do, and handed around samples.

I’ve been following Spacex’s Starlink satellite launches a little bit in the news. How do their ground based receiver antennas compare to your company’s phased array? Probably crude in comparison.

I remember when 2 layers was hard, 4 was amazing.

Me too. The technology has grown exponentially, like so many others. The singularity is near. /sort of

The Singularity is also the point at which machines' intelligence and humans would merge.

Let’s pray they don’t use any Democrat intelligence, that is IF they can find any! The reference is to Kurzweil’s seminal work on the topic, as I’m sure you must know.

Also the kind of thing the androids used when they got outwitted by Kirk and his conservative crew!

And while we are on the subject of things that blow up computers, how about Goedel's Theorem, that there is no formal system that is both complete and consistent.

You see, people's brains do not make for a consistent system. Anyone who has all the answers will find that some answers are inconsistent with others, and anyone who does not have all the answers is not "complete"

A quick explanation after a few drinks, so I'll have to elaborate another day.

Rene Descartes was at the bar. The bartender asked if he wanted another glass of wine. "I think not" and he disappeared. (Heard on Babylon 5)

Which reminds me, Delenn passed away
