Looking at the weather reports from New York City, I’m reminded of what a wonderful time I had there during the “boxing day blizzard“ in 2010, including watching the snow hypnotically falling by my window at the Millennium UN Plaza Hotel. I had come pretty well I think, with excellent boots, ski pants, parka, hat and gloves, and even ski goggles. So I walked all over Midtown and lower Manhattan that evening visiting friends and stopping in for the occasional drink. It was also one of the few times in my life that I saw “thunder snow”, as I was crossing Madison Square, Park.
