Reply to Kosh's Shadow in 1: And that is nowhere near the snow we've had other years. The lower picture has a wire mesh fence at the top left. We've had snow to the top of that. Snowblowers have trouble throwing snow that high (20 feet or so)

Well, my alma mater has gone full woke. The local alumni association is offering two webinars, one called "Bringing the War Home: the White Power Movement and Paramilitary America," which is described thus: The white power movement in America wants a revolution. Its soldiers are not lone wolves but highly organized cadres motivated by a coherent and deeply troubling worldview made up of white supremacy, virulent anticommunism, and apocalyptic faith. In this talk, Kathleen Belew presents the history of a movement that consolidated in the 1970s and 1980s around a potent sense of betrayal in the Vietnam War; made tragic headlines in Waco, Ruby Ridge, and Oklahoma City; and was resurgent under President Trump. The other is a lecture which is trying to figure out ways to "reform or eliminate the current Electoral College process."

The "you'll never get a cent" thing is pretty toothless, since they haven't gotten one yet, and "if/then" threats are always a bad idea in correspondence. I might consider a note to the president, not the alumni association, but I already have to attend Woke Re-education at the school where I teach, so I'm wondering what I want to go on record about and where.
