It’s incredible enough that the Washington post printed this ridiculous underlying opinion piece to begin with. But the fisking is wonderful.

I will confess that I am disappointed that nobody saw fit to even attempt to explain the current Leftist obsessions with "mass incarcerations" and "private prisons" that I raised in the daytime thread.

Well, sorry, I was rather busy with childcare. But anyway, I don’t really think either obsession is all that “current“. They’ve been rabbiting away about both alleged issues for quite some time.  The first one is of a piece with their idea that America is “systemically racist“ of course. The second, to further the narrative that private enterprise is evil. I don’t really think it’s all that mysterious, then, why they bang on those drums so hard.

Have to get back to you tomorrow, at this point.

Apologies.

By far the finest moment of my day was early this afternoon when I informed my little boy that we could take some time to go out and play in the garden. He promptly got up and started dancing around, then paused and exclaimed, “these are the best days of my life!“.

He sounds so cute.  I'll bet you'll look  back some day and say that these are the best days of your life, as well.
