despair.com is having a sale on mugs, and I ended up getting 3 because their shipping charges are so high, that getting 3 mugs was the equivalent of regular price and free shipping. ($15 instead of $20, but 3 mugs has $15 shipping charge)

It was cold and very windy all weekend long but we all had a great time. The food and drink was outstanding, my oldest boy is quite a good cook. We ended up eating in every night and pigged out on surf and turf ... steaks, clams, crabs, prawns, ahi tuna. Beachcombing in the cold wind sure works up the appetite.

We have some nice scenery around here full of wildlife (not just squirrels, chipmunks, and rabbits, but turkeys and deer), but the hard part is finding some time to enjoy it.

Last weekend, the dogs frightened off some deer. I didn't see the deer until the dogs looked up the hill. There they were, but they moved away.

What I need, though, is a real vacation, not having to worry about what I do or say, but that is not in the cards or in the stars.

I’m fortunate to live so close to the American River Parkway, I get a true nature walk each day with the labs. There is a lot of wildlife to see, including dead salmon this time of year which unfortunately, you also smell and many times ... on the dogs!

We don't get a walk, especially given the covid shit today, but we at least have nature around.

We have 1.1 acres, but most of that is a steep hill. The turkeys live up there. And we have the dry laid stone walls that are chipmunk tenements.

They do make noise, but they sound nothing like Alvin, Simon, Theodore, etc.
