I am totally burnt out. Had to fix a problem with wife's computer this morning (Windows networking screwed up and could not resolve DNS addresses - something I have seen before, but several reboots to fix.
So much for my breaks to eat during the day Wolfed down a sandwich after eating breakfast a few bites at a time.
Still got enough done, but burnt out - but can't really unwind. Still have to do backups and wait for dishwasher to finish.
Closer to my life but still way off No, did not get my wife pregnant before marriage, but still went to the courthouse and the judge put it all to rest - both families not exactly pleased
Is a dream a lie if it don't come true, or is it something worse?

What a day. Had to be at the hospital between 6:30 and 7 AM, to be the "first patient"; thought I'd be off the table and "in recovery" by about noon, but it was more like 1:30; they wouldn't let my chaperone stay in the hospital because covid, despite the place being 2/3rds empty (fortunately it was a nice day, so she could wait outside); by the time I got done with "recovery," it was mid-afternoon. It then took TWO HOURS to get a cab to take us back to civilization---hitting the height of rush hour, of course, in the process. Meanwhile, I'm in a "boot" and on crutches/cannot walk on the foot save on the heel.

Also, the DC footbridge “collapse” was caused by a truck smacking into the thing, so not a likely poster child for “we need more infrastructure bucks” in that respect.
