Day One was pretty good. IT finally got my laptop working, but by that time it was too late to do anything useful.

Damn if I can remember but an article their were working on a experiment with relativistic gravity. We should be able to measure a time difference between the same point over the earth at different altitudes.

Reply to Kosh's Shadow in 15: Spacetime - 3 spatial dimensions plus time, are related to three momentum directions plus energy. (This is one of the few places where Quantum Mechanics and relativity connect, via the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle, in that we cannot measure both position and momentum, or time and energy simultaneously to precision better than the Heisenberg constant. A long long time ago, I tried to calculate time dilation due to gravity using energy and special relativity. I got the formula for a black hole, but off by a factor of 2. So there is something not quite right in my calculations, but time dilation due to motion and energy are related, and for gravity, that means gravitational potential energy.

I just had an old friend pass away earlier today. Tonight I had a call from another old friend whom I hadn't heard from in three years. It made my evening. The two friends didn't know each other at all but both were my friends.
