Spent the day putting together a proposal to spend $250,000 on CAD workstations.

If new workstation save CAD engineers 30 minutes a day..... it is a positive ROI in less than a year.

Reminds me of how I worked one place and one of the 2 microwaves broke, but they had to go through a lot to replace it.

They probably lost tens of thousands of dollars in the month it took them, from salaried people waiting for the one microwave.

Another place, line for the microwave. HR/purchasing guy comes in, sees the line, goes back to his office. Comes back a while later, still a line.

The next day we had 2 microwaves. The second one probably paid for itself in one day, in a few minutes.
