Wife came back from a day at court and visiting a client in prison. Tried to open the hatchback on her 2012 Honda Fit. Didn't open. Had to get dogs' attention to get me to come out. Showed her how to fold down the rear seats to get to the stuff in the hatchback. Found an access panel and got the hatch to open, but it seems it will need further repairs. Apparently a common problem on these cars. Mine has a fully electric latch; hers uses a mechanical cable linkage, and some part didn't move right. Found if I locked it and checked to see if it was locked, it wouldn't open after being unlocked; after fixing it, if I locked and then unlocked it it would work fine, but for how long?

Reply to @PBJ3 in 2: At east I figured out what to do. Then I checked the internet, and got the same instructions. No good info on a long-term fix. At least the seats fold down to get stuff out of there I have a bigger hassle with Dell. A computer barely a year old had its wifi board fail, and after weeks of trying to fix it at home, they found the wifi board has failed (passes the diagnostics I can run but they have more sophisticated hardware tests). That was on Sept. 24. The estimate was it would be fixed today. They have no idea when it will be fixed now. Fortunately, I was able to get another system, arriving tomorrow, with a 45% off deal. A real business grade laptop at a consumer price. No DVD drive, but external ones are cheap (under $30) Of course, it takes days to download all the updates and other software. I do hope it does NOT have Windows 11; I don't need its new features and it has several things that I'd find annoying. Entertainment news. Trying to get Teams Chat as my social media. Make it hard to use a different browser. (See the link to a review in the daytime thread) I'd just move to Linux if all the software I needed was available there. Even if it cost money. Linux doesn't try to run my life. And I am quite familiar with it, since most of my work is on it.
