Waiting for Dell to call to work on performance problems on my wife's computer.

Most likely software. Known problems with the Intel display adapter where

1) The login screen never shows up; gray screen

2) Windows Display Manager bloats from 1-200 MB to 1-2 GB

And it looks like some things like the audio software have multiple copies running.

I figure they'll call at the last minute and not be able to finish the job. As far as I have been able to find, there is no fix for the display problems. Maybe there is one, hidden, if you ask.

The other stuff is routine. But I pay for pro support, so let them help.

So they don't know what is going on, and want an OS reinstall.

OK, give me a free computer. Microcrap should pay, not Dell.

An OS reinstall would take the computer out of use for days, Can't do that.

And it has over 750GB of data, so systems with 1 TB are too expensive.
