We had fun. Leaning how to control slides, breaking and turn, getting going up hill. With and with out traction control and 4 wheel drive.

I remember the first time I got in a skid. Side street, unplowed, 1/4" snow. Nothing to run into.
Yes, time stretched out enough for me to understand what "steer into the skid" meant.

The worst I ever got into was freezing rain. Light rain, when I turned on the wipers, it scraped across the frozen drops on the wind shield.
I thought about things for what seemed like nearly a minute, and just shifted into neutral. I put on my flasher and got down to about 20mph. A car whipped past me and tried to make the curve but went straight off into a field. When I was down to about 15mph I put in first and just about lost it into a ditch. Trucks were stopping then just sliding off the road sideways. i just kept going at idling speed, and maneuvering as best as I could.
About an hour, till we got to snow....

See, that’s why I only travel by hovercraft. (After removing the eels, of course.)
