The name of that pub reminds me of an old Joe, that I’ll admit I heard on “Benny Hill“.

An Englishman dining at a restaurant in Paris calls over the waiter, and angrily says, “look, there’s a fly in my soup! This is unacceptable!”

The waiter replies, “un quoi, Monsieur?  Sorry…en anglais, a what?”

”A fly!” exclaims the English diner.  “Um… le mouche! Le mouche!”

“No, monsieur,” the waiter patiently explains,” it is LA mouche.  It is feminine.”

”Well,” says the Englishman, “*you’ve* got damned good eyes…”
