Roofleak from the rainstorm Thurs. night---over the only room in the apartment which has wall-to-wall carpeting---meant waking up to an utterly sodden and swampy carpet. 

Fortunately the water missed most of the important stuff, but trying to sop up the water was something else, and a huge amount of disarray.
