Reply to buzzsawmonkey in 1: Fortunately, I do not have to go to Farcebook. I understand in your business, you need a Facebook presence. However, I was contacted by them a few weeks ago for a position. Fat chance, since I do not use their product I am not one of their products. The last time I had a phone screen, it was largely them telling me where they could use my software engineering, and my replies of "been there, done that", but they "shockingly" decided not to follow up. I figure the same will happen this time, so I am holding off until I need a job search activity to report to unemployment. Not that I haven't had a lot of those now, but the ones I have are more likely to result in actual work.

Reply to Kosh's Shadow in 2: I joined Facebook because my late LibFriend told me "I had to" to establish a better online presence. I did not like it, and do not like it, but I'm doing some work with someone who is a big FB person who echoed the same sentiments. There are some fun things about it, though it can be a hideous timesink if one allows it to be. What I cannot stand is seeing people whom I know, whose work I like, and whose friendship I enjoy, in other contexts---and who happen to be my core client demographic, God help me---spewing the baldest Leftist bullshit as if it were the gospel truth. These people make NPR sound like QAnon, if QAnon actually exists. I am trying to keep my fat mouth shut and avoid addressing the lunacies I see them exchanging.
