C'mon, people!  There's drinking to be done!

I've cut back on drinking the last few days. Not deliberately - I just haven't wanted it. A friend took me out yesterday for a belated birthday lunch and I had a glass of wine. I'm having a beer with dinner, but I'm not even sure I'm going to finish it.

I'm off the likker myself, but I miss the freewheeling exchanges of Pubs past.  I think that everyone's adjusting to the new "space" (and a word of praise here to Kosh for putting it together), but I miss the old room and cannot help but feel the mere fact of the move has dampened things a bit.

It's hard to get a conversation going with so few people.

Ain't it, though.  I'm wondering where some of the others are, besides turn.

Always a good call. Winding down after a hectic late evening shift in the bakery.

I am looking for a dash cam for a delivery truck.

I would like front and rear cameras.

Any ideas of what I should be looking for, what I should prefer and what I should avoid?

I have been having trouble drinking beer for years. Maybe some slight problems with gluten.

Wine is more my drink nowadays.

Hard stuff turns me into a real asshole - except I get down on myself

i love the smell of bread backing. Unfortunately, it is an asthma trigger for me, as is the smell of hot butter.

Fresh baked bread is worth it. Yum.

Can't help. Cannot take a dashcam to work - they have to be hidden away at best.

I remember enjoying the smell from a big commercial (Wonder Bread? (I wonder if it is bread?)) bakery in Natick.

They had to install pollution controls to eliminate the smell.

No bread today. Had to do two and a half racks of muffins for the weekly sale starting tomorrow. Put them out before the end of shift and I think we didn't bake enough. Of course corporate has decided that since sales are down we don't need more people working shifts. Half of my shift I was alone and had to tray up tons of shit and clean and do the normal stuff that's required. Some stuff didn't get done.

we live in an amazing age.

I am told that even the cheap wines, like gallo, are very good compared to what was thought to be good a generation or two ago.

i hope the “good” wines are that much better nowadays.

I've started having occasional trouble with gluten-free beer. It's actually only processed to remove gluten so there may still be traces. I couldn't finish the one I had with dinner.

I have no idea. Why do you need a delivery truck? Starting a business?

yes.

I am starting a small delivery service. The local guy that was running the service in town has retired. I will be taking over in the area. He is helping me get started. There is no competition for this in the area.

It is a hell of a lot bigger truck than my little Nissan. Very nice to drive. I thought the size would take some getting used to but in practice, not so much.  It is really nice to be able to see over all of the traffic. I just have to be mindful that I am occupying most of the road.

i just bought 3 bottles of $4.00 wine at the local bargain market.

Gallo.  A sweet red, a moscato and a Pinot Grigio.

it is a big winery in California. Their wines are not top shelf, but they are decent enough.

And it’s off to bed.

I will be spending some time tomorrow with the state patrol discussing state equipment requirements for my truck. I think I am good to go, but better to check with them by phone about a few questions then to be asked questions on the side of the road with flashing lights behind me.

good night all.
