Reply to Kosh's Shadow in 1: It's also Jane Austen's birthday. I would like to reread some of her work since I've been to Bath.

Reply to Kosh's Shadow in 3: That's a real gem. When I think of Chaucer in rock music, I think of this, though apparently the songwriter said it had nothing to do with The Canterbury Tales. I loved Bath. They've done a beautiful job preserving the Georgian and Regency architecture. You can visit the Assembly Rooms that Austen mentions and there's a very nice costume museum. There's Bath Abbey, and of course the restored Roman Baths. In fact, they're restoring Bath Abbey and they're going to use the hot springs to heat the floors - it's kind of surprising they didn't think of that sooner.

Reply to Kosh's Shadow in 4: Funny how little attention it's gotten since they found out the suspects were Black Israelites.

Lindsey Graham: “The best thing I can do for the Constitution is to treat the House impeachment process with Constitutional disdain.
Legitimizing this House impeachment effort politically weaponizes impeachment and demeans the Constitution.” https://twitter.com/lindseygrahamsc/status/1206751724356165632

Same with all the beatings of Jews in Brooklyn - if it can't be blamed on Trump, it isn't news And the fact the Poway and Pittsburgh synagogue shooters hated Trump isn't news either

Reply to Kosh's Shadow in 7: Yes. I was referring to the line, "as the miller told his tale." That's a nifty little article. I remember hearing Bach's St. Matthew's Passion and thinking, by golly, that's "An American Tune" by Paul Simon! (Okay, it wasn't all that long ago.)

Reply to Kosh's Shadow in 11: That's the one. Listen to the part that begins, "We come on the ship they called the Mayflower, we come on the ship that sailed the moon."

Good night! *waves to Syrah* I see you, but I was also in another conversation elsewhere online. The Democrats know impeachment will fail and they're scrambling to find ways to blame the Republicans. Their idiot voters will lap it up.
