Speaking just for myself, I was *totally* prepared to drive down to Richmond and open fire with all of my military-grade assault weapons on everyone I could find; but governor coonman’s wonderful tweets convinced me otherwise.

Well, I’m not sure if that worked. Anyway, it’s supposed to be a link to a YouTube preview of the upcoming movie “the color out of space“, starring Nicolas Cage. I’m trying to remember which other HP Lovecraft stories, if any, have been made into major motion pictures. Can’t think of any.

Don't we have to say, "The Out of Space of Color" now?

No good movies. Just B grade or lower horror movies, like Herbert West, Reanimator

Lovecraft does not translate well to the screen

It would be interesting to see a TV series called "The Love Craft."  A lot less romance than "The Love Boat," and a lot more tentacles and eldritch horror.

I recall reading a science-fiction story back when I was in high school, about a man in suspended animation who is revived sometime in the fairly near future, to find that pretty much all of mankind‘s major problems have been solved, and at the same time, anything that could induce fear has been banned. For instance, there are no horror novels, etc. At one point he goes into a library and asks, “do you have any Lovecraft?“. The librarian cheerfully responds, “is that a sex book?”
