Reply to Kosh's Shadow in 1: Busy afternoon/evening, party at the home of Little OR’s school chums (with kids in tow), then bedtime routine with the lad. Sitting in his room now sipping a Dogfish Head 90 as he falls asleep.

God, work has become too fucking interesting. Department head was offered and interviewed for a field specialist position. He's been waffling for the past few weeks over taking it. Everyone in the department is saying "please god go!" He knows his shit and we are sick of him. too much stuff isn't being done properly lately and we are all suffering.

In #10 Occasional Reader said: Should I get an ankle holster for my Sig P365? IMHO- No. Pretty much all the ankle holsters I have seen are easily visible through light slacks, or obvious when the cuff rides up as you sit. They come in two types- too loose or too tight. Even moderate physical movement (working through a crowd on public transportation for example) can dislodge your weapon. The too-tight types don't have that problem but can require pretty serious effort on the draw. They are almost always difficult to access in a driver's seat in the car, and require conspicuous movement to reach at a time when you probably don't want to attract attention. The good ones use lamb's wool to pad your leg, but they pretty much all make a hotspot on your leg. In some people this can result in skin issues. To stay in place they have to be pretty tight- the natural graceful taper of your lower legs encourages things to slide down. With your body shape you should have some other pretty good options- most likely inside-the-waistband (IWB). If you wear a suit or sport jacket much of the time concealment is no problem. Other times a loose polo shirt will do.
Re: Visit to Cape Cod- I would drive. Airplanes are breeding grounds for all sorts of colds, flu, etc, and people from different areas often have 'normal' bugs that are different from the ones you have developed immunity to in your area.

In #14 revobob said: With your body shape You mean “chiseled”? “ inside-the-waistband (IWB)” I already have one, actually. But thanks for the input on the alcohol holster. ” Airplanes are breeding grounds for all sorts of colds, flu, etc,” I mean, I have 1,000,000 mile plus flyer, I am already pretty thoroughly through the Looking Glass on that stuff generally. It’s just this outbreak in particular I’m thinking about.

Discuss. When our daughter was a LEO she chose not to. I think her uniform pants were too slim at the bottom to make pulling her back-up 38 smooth hammer out of the holster quickly or unnoticed, so I agree with Revo. Our daughter chose some type of a bra holster instead, LOL.

I'm so sorry I haven't been around, was trying to do better about posting but Thursday morning after my long shower I noticed the sump pump in our basement (for the washing machine drain) turning on every ten minutes or so, I decided we needed the main drain cleaned to the street (we spent 39 years in the plumbing business). I called two plumbing and rooter companies, one that I had heard good things about and a friend's company and they insisted that we had broken pipes under the house and we do have between five and ten feet of cast iron that is cracked on the top. All they seemed concerned about was the leaking pipe, not clearing the drain. The friend finally sent out a really good guy, who only works weekends and he cleared the roots from the drain and also let me know that those broken pipes were not leaking any longer. Thank god he didn't push us into doing the repair first. This will buy us time. I had to stay in a motel for two nights so I wasn't around much.
