Ended up spending all day at work, in the office.

Picked up my mask on the way in, and have to wear it except when alone in the office or once I am in my car.

I hate it. Good thing I got to be alone in the office.

Had to pick up dog medicine on the way home, which brought me by a small supermarket. THEY have toilet paper. $1.00/roll for what used to be 0.67, limit 5. Got all 5 I could get, tissues and paper towels (limit 2 each).

No eggs. But at least they aren't out of potatoes.

This place is so small when the local chain sold out to a regional one, the regional one decided it was too small and closed it. Another chain bought it, renovated it, and opened it again. I think that the beer and wine license (rare for supermarkets in Massachusetts) is keeping it going.

So, you’re not enjoying your 30-day free trial of Socialism?

No, and I am on the essential job list, so I have to work, Comrade.

The wine and beer aisle was well stocked, I have to say. Lots of box wines and cases of beer. (Not a fancy town)

My now-fave local/smallish supermarket always has eggs. I’m not an egg eater much, but I notice it, since I keep hearing stories like yours.  Then again, I live in Capital City, so..

I haven't heard Bernie saying how this shows everyone is treated the same (except Party members like him). He must be getting senile/

I actually have a fair number of supermarkets plus a super Walmart within a 20 mile range. The problem is, many have reduced hours, making it hard to shop if you are one of the essential workers. (And I have a generic letter from the Air Force saying I am essential, so if they don't want a B-52 to drop bombs on them, they should be nice.//////////////////////////////////////////////////////)

Remember when banks gave you a toaster for opening an account?  If you can find an open branch bank now, they should give you a roll of TP for opening an account.

Are those old eggs, or huevos nuevos?

My bank is drive-up teller and ATM only. Online services are available.

Just as well. With everyone wearing masks, the lobbies would look like bank robbers' conventions.
