I just saw a video of national guard troops kneeling to the rioters.

It's over folks.  The Day of the Tiles has come.

Too bad they weren't kneeling for a more stable fire position.

I am past ready to see these animals put down. The elites have unleashed the mob to subjugate the rest of us. The police fear for their lives, let alone their jobs, if they try to do their duty. I am about ready to pull an Elvis with my Glock every time I see an elected Democrat on television. And I have no confidence voters will depose these woke tyrants. They are getting what they have coming to them, good and hard, and I don't give a fuck about any of them.

Some people think this was all planned. Since the big discussion here is during the day, I posted in Thursday's morning news thread an analysis of the video that strongly suggests it was set up in advance.

Of course it was planned. Coronavirus and the death of George Floyd were just happy coincidences, but there was a plan ready to be activated when such an event would occur. And they got a twofer!

As I understand it, the President has the power to nationalize the National Guard if the states refuse to act. It's abundantly clear that blue state governors and mayors are working against the interests of their constituents and should have their authority usurped.

Well, not if it involves taking a five minute walk to visit a church.  I mean, come on.  That's just like Hitler, but worse.

Oh, I know. I saw that famous picture of Hitler the devout occultist carrying his Bible to a rally.

And by the way, while I think the lockdown was 100% unnecessary, I hope there's a humongous outbreak of COVID among the rioters.

Note that in LA, a synagogue was vandalized, and Jewish-owned stores attacked.

BDS and Black Lives Matter are tied together.

Like Hitler? It is the rioting side that is like Hitler. Antifa = Democrat brownshirts.

Democratic Socialists are getting to be like National Socialists (and the Democratic Socialist group is also a big BDS supporter)

I saw all this coming when the Democrats threw out Joe Lieberman.

Not sure about that. Israel is seeing an increase in cases as they open up.

No no no.  Sheesh, don't you watch CNN?  Trump was being all Hitler by walking to a church and holding up a Bible.

Oh, but first, he ordered all the peaceful protesters in the area "tear-gassed"...

... by cops who weren't wearing gas masks...

... and then minutes later, he strolled through the area...

... also, without a gas mask; and was perfectly fine.

PROVING that he's not merely Hitler, he's Zombie Hitler, impervious to "tear gas".

If the rioters all came down with it and died, I'd say that would be a great improvement to the nation.

The same thing could have been accomplished by keeping the elderly and infirm at home, oh, and not putting infected people in nursing homes.  Among younger people, nearly 100% of those who died had an underlying condition; they should have been advised to take the same safety measures as the elderly. The normal flu season precautions of washing your hands and not coughing on others would have kept nearly everyone else safe. Obviously I don't want to see anyone get sick or die, but the lockdown is causing huge increases in suicide, opioid addiction, domestic violence, depression, anxiety, and alcohol abuse.

It does seem that it spreads in schools, too - that's where the spike is in Israel, and the students would then come home and visit grandparents.

Most places did go too far, but I still think there is something about this we aren't being told.

Actually, that's not true, at least in the US. The infection rate among children is very low. If spreading it to grandparents is a concern, why not isolate the grandparents and let the kids stay in school?

Incidentally, my three-year-old granddaughter went back to nursery school this week. She missed her playmates terribly and was uncharacteristically difficult when she was trapped at home. My son described her this week as "insanely happy." The isolation has had serious effects on some children that may not be apparent for some time.

We can't tell. The symptomatic infection rate among children is low. But Israel is doing a lot more testing (smaller country, easier) and these numbers are based on tests, not symptoms.
