Fireworks are still legal in some parts of Washington. 

They have canceled all of the big displays that would normally take place.  Governor Idiot Inslee has told people of the state that they should not gather in large groups of more than 5 or 6 people and to wear a mask. (I predict that there will be a higher than average number of injuries and fires this year.)

I don’t think anyone is taking him seriously at this point, except for the mask thing.

i just saw to skateboarders riding by, wearing masks, with their nose over the top....

Worse, while the skateboarders don’t seem to understand how they are making a total cockup of the mask wearing thing, I am certain that the local store employee that i saw wearing a crocheted mask, in full compliance of the cloth covering mandate, does not understand why it was useless except as a visual virtue signal.

i wonder if the mandatory mask order will work for Inslee, or against him in the long run.  It is a farce, but I don’t know if enough people understand masks, how they work and how they don’t, to see the mandate for the forced Virtual Signaling con-job that it is

At work, there are some specific instructions for wearing masks, and some types are not allowed. They do, however, supply masks.

But the place is largely empty.

Oh, they also have a prototype temperature scanner scanning people as they enter, where you need to use a badge to open the gates.

While West may be entering his name in the race only months away from November 3, he has already received his first celebrity endorsement: Elon Musk.

"You have my full support!" the Tesla and SpaceX founder tweeted in a reply to West's announcement.

I am currently re-reading AJ Liebling's The Telephone Booth Indian, which is his brilliant reportage of the Broadway-lowlife scene, fictionalized in Damon Runyon's stories, that he did for the New Yorker back around 1940.   Funny, well-written, and highly informative of the life and the argot of the Broadway luftmenschen. 

Highly, highly recommended.

They did nothing illegal, AFAIK. 2A rights are for everyone. I just find it comical that they think there's a massive white nationalist militia movement that's going to come out and fight them. They don't worry me nearly as much as the snotty white kids of BLM.

Just saw a short vid by the NFAC leader.  He apparently wants to create a black Bantustan in the US, a scheme that was advocated by the Nation of Islam back in the 1960s back when it was opposing Martin Luther King.  The American Nazi Party enthusiastically endorsed this idea.

Of course, the Nation of Islam is merely the American Nazi Party in blackface.
