PBJ3: I was also glad to see that Damar is doing as well as he is. When he got hurt,  I did some hunting to get the more specific diagnoses he had received, and there was one in particular that I was all too familiar with. So far, what has been shared has been very positive.

I was excited to hear, this morning, that the breathing tube had been removed and he was speaking to the medical staff, family and had even done a facetime with team members!

All extremely good news. There's no clear indication what deficits he has at this moment, but these are incredibly encouraging signs.

I wish him well, but I had never heard of him before this incident, so I can't say this is on my A List of concerns, to be blunt.

I hadn't either, and I am a casual NFL fan at best, but it's a remarkable story - a one-in-a-billion injury and a surprisingly rapid recovery (or at least amazing progress). As a Christian, I was moved by the way the players, the fans, and even the broadcast team immediately turned to prayer. We are not a Christian nation, and all those prayers must have been quite different, but the urge to call on a higher power in times of crisis is deeply embedded in the human heart.

PJM did have an article a while ago suggesting that the vaccine might be the cause of a larger than usual number of injuries in the NFL.

The unvaccinated cause more car accidents too!

People who skipped their COVID vaccine are at higher risk of traffic accidents, according to a new study
