Lincoln Brown writes about a protest about a Turning Point USA event on a college campus that went poorly, and made a comparison to the book Dr. Moreau: See if you can spot the differences between that scene and your average college protest these days. Aside from the absence of firearms (so far) at these campus tantrums, I couldn’t find any. The students are feral, driven by instinct and passion, and have abandoned critical thought. And like the beast men, college students want to be told that they are gods. The sole arbiters of right and wrong and the determiners of history. Damn good description.

So China is starting to play the part of international peacemaker in Saudi Arabia and Iran, and there are rumors that they might also be considered as peacemakers in the Ukraine/Russia situation. If that happens, then China has officially taken over the mantle as superpower, in my mind. Discuss.

What bothers me is that I'm not sure that is wrong. I can understand that, especially given that we seem (which may be the intent of media; I can't keep up with all the lawsuits) to have no recourse in the courts or legislature to get things overturned. People have started pulling their children out of public schools to avoid the indoctrination, but just as higher education is requiring applicants to complete DEI statements for consideration, I expect that idea to grow to include other fields as well.
It took 100 years, but it may finally have been successful. Do I want that to be true? No, no, no. Sarah Hoyt believes the leftists are going crazy because they see their power diminishing with the rise of Trump and the number of people arguing online and going to Trump rallies, and therefore things will get worse before they get better. I can only hope.

Reply to vxbush in 7: I honestly don’t know. In my heart, I think that what they are trying to do is “unsustainable“ and therefore cannot work in any long term. The problem is, how bloody things will have to get before their project collapses.
