Most everyone here can imagine what this would be like, but Schlichter wrote it up: The nightmare of America after Kamala wins. One interesting prediction he makes is that if Kamala wins, the Democrats will add Puerto Rico and DC as states (which isn’t explicitly stated, but seems clear from inference) so they can have a perpetual Democrat majority. I can’t decide how plausible that is. I thought there was something that prevented DC from being considered as a state. Maybe Schlichter is joking? Doesn’t seem like it in this article. The rest of the article is obvious once he puts things together, but that one point gave me pause. I’m not seeing it. Of course, we’ve seen Dems make up laws and rules and do what they want, so…..

Democrats claim that DC statehood would not require a constitutional amendment. They are wrong, but when has that ever stopped them before? A detailed explanation can be found here.

On a lighter note (since it's Friday), I had fun at the shooting range yesterday, in between attending my son's school's Halloween Parade, and accompanying him that evening for trick or treating. This range has an astonishing selection of full-auto firearms available for rental; I chose to try out a Sten SMG, and an MP5 with a suppressor. The Sten is a piece of history, and also, famously, something of a piece of, er, well, you know. It jammed on me three times in the course of going through two mags. Stens were notorious for this (and that's the reason Reinhard Heydrich wasn't shot to death, but rather bombed to death). As I've seen them described, they're basically "a metal tube with a firing mechanism". The MP5 was smooth as silk, and my first time firing a weapon with a suppressor. I'm rather keen to get a suppressor in the near future, and was pleased to learn that one can buy a single suppressor that can fit (with adaptive attachments) on multiple caliber weapons, including everything I have (except the shotgun). One thing that doing a "mag dump" on a full auto MP5 drives home is just how hilariously unrealistic those Hollywood "infinite magazines" are; thinking for instance of the "shoot the glass" shootout scene in Die Hard. Bruce blazes away with an MP5 for several minutes, seemingly without changing mags. In reality, it's like: brrrrrrrt... annnd, we're out.

In #3 Occasional Reader said: Hollywood "infinite magazines" This reminds my of my suggestion a while back that when the Left starts its periodic yapping about "banning high-capacity magazines," conservatives should say, "Why, yes---let's start with The New Yorker, The Atlantic, Newspeak Newsweek, and Time," and when the Left will predictably begin invoking the First Amendment, counter with, "Now, let me tell you all about the Second Amendment," and make it a "teachable moment."
