Very late last night it dropped that Rogan endorsed Trump. He changed his mind because of Elon Musk's argument to vote for Trump. I know Rogan is popular--Instapundit originally listed that he was the #1 podcaster in the US and listened to in over 91 countries, although that text seems to be gone now--but if the death of Peanut wasn't enough to push you to Trump, I'm not sure what would move you. Only half /////
In this our hour of need, may God preserve us and protect us.

Q: Why can't we use the national census to help us correct ballot addresses and locations? I realize that a lot of people can move in four years, but the census should give us a baseline of where people at least used to be. But I think I know the answer.

It would’ve been nice if Joe had come up with this endorsement a little sooner. At least he did the right thing, eventually.

If I were to guess, I'd say he was hoping Kamala would come on and do an interview, and so he didn't want to make an endorsement before having that conversation. They were in negotiations but she kept making the offer that he should come to her, when he has his studio already set up and everything. That seems like the most reasonable reason why he didn't endorse before last night.

I ran out of gas. I... I had a flat tire. I didn’t have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn’t come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake. A terrible flood. Locusts! IT WASN’T MY FAULT!

So, I just got back from a lunchtime stroll around downtown DC, near the White House. From what I see, the businesses and office buildings that have boarded up are very much in the minority (thinking of the memes I've seen at Insty about "downtown DC is bracing for violence!"). FWIW. (One restaurant I saw seems to have opted for just having a regular chain link fence added around the exterior; I don't think that will do much if the crazies go to it. ) The White House, on the other hand, now has two rings of serious fencing (anchored to NJ barriers) around it, in addition to the usual fence right around the WH grounds. For now, parts of it are open so that pedestrians can enter Lafayette Park, but it's clear those could be closed in a hurry.

Pennsylvania county extends voting hours after 'software issue' with scanning ballots
How do you have software issues the day of the election? Because the people running the systems are not computer savvy and have no clue, partially because the systems are a closed box for confirming security but seem to be an open box for changing votes.

I have honestly not made up my mind whether I want to actually watch election results tonight, or just go to bed and get up tomorrow and see what happened. (If that is, we know what happened by tomorrow morning.)

Went to vote in NYC today. As usual, the Republicans failed to mount a single candidate for the many judgeships that were up for election. To the extent there was any opposition at all to the Democrat slate, it was mounted by the "Conservative Party," which has been a hollow husk in this state for years---and even there, probably half the judges endorsed by the "Conservative Party" (when they actually managed to fill that ballot blank) were the same nominees that the Democrats had put up. The Republicans---better known as the Bootlickin's---and the "Conservative Party" are both blatant frauds. New York is truly a one-party dictatorship.

Since there might be interest in discussing the election results, I put up a pub thread.
