You heard that Biden pardoned his son Hunter this weekend, I'm sure. But did you hear his excuse, despite swearing up and down he wouldn't do it? President Biden claimed he had to issue the pardon because Hunter was “selectively, and unfairly, prosecuted,” and “Hunter was treated differently” from others who commit similar crimes. He would be a complete pariah everywhere if Democrats had standards other than all power, all the time.

To me, the only surprising thing about the Hunter pardon story is that it was timed so as to be effectively unveiled on a Monday morning, instead of during a "Friday evening news dump".

If Biden says "nobody is above the law," and then he pardons Hunter, is he saying that Hunter Biden is a "nobody"?

Part of me thinks Joe finds it to be a tremendous power rush to see the media falling over themselves backwards to say that whatever he does is great. That might explain the timing.

Of course, that's assuming Joe Biden has the slightest idea what's going on...

And based on THAT assumption, another theory I've seen advanced (at Insty) is that Biden is still supremely pissed off at the (D) establishment for forcing him to step aside for Harris; so he's happily burning down the Party on the way out.

I don't recall where I saw this, but the internal polling the Democrat party was seeing with Biden being the nominee at the time the election was held suggested that Trump was going to win over 400 electoral votes. So the Democrats felt they had no choice but to get rid of Biden. So not only were they lying to themselves and every media newsactor was lying about the polls, but they moved on this information so late that everyone was dissatisfied. George Clooney was upset that Barack Obama took advantage of their relationship in order to push Biden out and how that led to Kamala's stinging defeat. Kamala wasted money paying people for their endorsements and didn't go after voters. So yeah, Biden probably feels justified (in his own little mind) to shoot the party on the way out. In his mind, he did nothing wrong.

With the Hunter Biden pardon, Joe Biden cements his legacy as Clodfather of the Biden Crime Family.
