Stephen Kruiser notes the decline of the MSM and the reach of broadcast news among younger viewers being diminished in the age of YouTube. He also cites print media, but what I found interesting is the dirty little secret that has come out from Page Six that ABC News staff work in a building with no wifi and no heat

“Good Morning America” has lost its heat, figuratively and literally.

The morning show has reportedly seen a significant dip in the ratings as Disney and ABC migrate from its former NYC headquarters to a new building downtown.

Some staffers, however, are still forced to work in chilly conditions at its HQ on the Upper West Side, where “There’s no Wi-Fi, no heat, the antenna ripped off the building over the weekend and they’re not replacing it,” one source griped.

....

The studio sold the complex in 2018 for nearly $1 billion, but remained tenants while staffers prepared for a big, shiny move to Hudson Square

Allegedly, the new owners are tearing down the old digs and replacing them with high-rises, which means “There’s no incentive for upkeep,” a source previously told us.

In 2023, we reported about an infestation of mice and a coterie of fleas at the building that forced employees to “refrain from working on the fifth floor.”

They’ve also experienced broken elevators and escalators in their final chapter at the complex. “The building is falling apart. It’s going to get condemned. It’s been a slow burn, and they’re not going to fix anything. It’s getting torn down,” the first source said.

I think they are going to be able to keep their new building for a while--someone will prop them up the way Bezos has the Post--but at some point I expect the company to either close down or sell the building or both.

I'm thinking the same thing is happening in higher education, where fewer students are seeing any value to getting degrees from universities that do nothing but tell them how they are infested with racism.

Americans overwhelmingly oppose Biden's pardon of his son Hunter, poll finds

Pollster Scott Rasmussen's Napolitan News Service survey found 62% oppose the pardon, including 41% who strongly opposed it. Only 30% of voters favored Biden's clemency.

So only 30% of the populace, if this sample is representative, supports Democrats' maneuvers to avoid any accountability? That's interesting.

Senate report finds only six percent of federal employees work in-person full-time

The pandemic must have been seen as a godsend by these people. I know some people for whom being able to work at home is not an option given their life circumstances, but I have a hard time believe that applies to 94% of the federal workforce.

What else does the staff have to do while the Vets wait for care?
