That is a lovely locale for a breakfast.

Today is jam packed at work, but I hope I get a chance to find some time and see just how many demonstrations there were yesterday that didn't make it into the news, or how many shenanigans Democrats put up in the certification process for the election. Given their performative art preferences, I can't imagine they didn't show up to demonstrate their displeasure.

I heard this yesterday and was stunned. Does no one in the Administration think at all?

Another company steps back from the brink: McDonald's Walks Back DEI Policies

I'm waiting for the flood of companies to start the ball rolling. But I wonder what it would take for colleges and universities to stop pushing it. I bet they will be the bastions that continue this, along with some public school districts in deep blue districts.

Okay, found a Twitchy post that summarizes upset Democrats on X who are wondering why the Dems are stopping the certification yesterday.

While some comments are way out there, some are mirror images of comments Republicans have made about Biden and his administration. I find that very interesting.

Don't worry, the government of Oman pinky-promises to keep a close eye on them.

I'm surprised there wasn't more hysterical coverage of "4th anniversary of J6, the most deadliest day in US history!'.   Or maybe there was, but I just missed it.  Anyway, let us pause once again to reflect on how odd it was that all these heavily-armed "right wingers" forgot to bring along even one, single gun for their "insurrection".

There was some, but it seems to be a few specific people on X, like Jerry Nadler:

"Today marks 4 years since President Trump instigated a riot at the Capitol in an attempt to overturn the results of a fair election. In his selfish refusal to accept his electoral defeat, President Trump ordered his supporters to the Capitol, resulting in over 140 police officers being seriously injured and several losing their lives as a result of the traumatic events of that day. Donald Trump lit the match, and his allies and enablers fanned the flames of rebellion."

140 police offers injured? What? That sounds like hyperbole.
