Current estimates predict that China will invade Taiwan no later than 2027. Who says this? Former US Indo-Pacific Command chief Admiral. Phil Davison in 2021, per PJ Media. CDR Salamander noted in November that the People's Liberation Army noted 2027 as well, and the article quotes him saying this goals allows them to reached their fixation to strive for "greater strength and self-reliance in science and technology, make breakthroughs in core technologies, and accelerate the development of strategic technologies, frontier technologies, and disruptive technologies, so that technological innovation provides crucial support for the development of our military."

China has been building up the Spratly Islands for a while now. China did nothing in Trump's first term. Are they willing to go after Taiwan during Trump's second?

Okay, gotta love this:

"According to reports, the same garbage truck that Trump rode in during the campaign, provided by the company Loadmaster, will be featured in his inaugural parade."

Who needs to learn from the feet of the master?

Give Musk credit. He's stepping in and helping and not just pointing fingers. Cybertrucks are coming in with not just StarLink satellite internet receivers but Mobile Powerwall Units for power and, apparently, some food and water.

Compare and contrast that with Newsom, as is quoted in the article:

I don't recall this, but RedState is reporting that at the end of December the US Government paid $3.4 billion to Ukraine to pay the salaries of bureaucrats and schoolteachers. This is in the context of a review of what Biden is offering to Californian victims of the wildfires: $770. Total. As Bonchie puts it, "So taxpayers are on the hook to pay the salaries of government officials from another country but American disaster victims are only given a pittance of $770 after losing everything."

I haven't heard if Trump has anything lined up on day 1 for those affected in California. Does anyone know?

Taking control of Greenland strategic mineral riches comes with staggering costs for mining

Jack Lifton, executive chairman of the Critical Minerals Institute, told Just the News that reports of the mining potential in Greenland are wildly exaggerated. The deposit is there, he said, but there’s more to a potential mining project than the existence of minerals at a particular location.

“What people don't understand because they're genuinely economically stupid is that if something costs more to produce than somewhere else you don't do it. Not in a free trade world,” Lifton said.

The economics of mining in the U.S. make a lot more sense, he said, but the politics make it next to impossible.

The 5 key conclusions from the Special Counsel’s report on Hunter Biden

  • Hunter Biden broke the law

Weiss confirms unequivocally in his report that Hunter Biden broke the law, contradicting claims from President Joe Biden and some media outlets that said for years that there was no evidence the first son had done anything wrong.

  • Biden traded on his family name to secure lucrative business deals

Weiss concluded Hunter Biden’s money came from “using his last name and connections to secure lucrative business opportunities” in exchange for doing “limited work,” confirming one of the key findings of the House Republican impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden that wrapped up last year.

  • Evidence shows Biden cheated on taxes specifically related to Burisma income

The court documents show that Hunter Biden failed to report income from Burisma Holdings, the controversial Ukrainian energy firm, on his taxes, again contradicting President Biden’s claims that his son did nothing wrong: “The Defendant did not report his income from Burisma on his 2014 Form 1040,” the court documents read in one instance.

  • President Biden accused of undermining the justice system

Weiss says that President Biden’s claims that the prosecutions of his son were politically motivated “undermine the public's confidence in our criminal justice system” and “unfairly impugn[s] the integrity not only of Department of Justice personnel, but all of the public servants making these difficult decisions in good faith."

  • President Biden accused of using a pardon to try to rewrite history

Weiss said that President Biden’s pardon of his son, Hunter, was an attempt to rewrite history: "The Constitution provides the President with broad authority to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the United States, but nowhere does the Constitution give the President the authority to rewrite history.”

Also note there were supposed to be three hearings today for Trump candidates, but the other two were delayed because the FBI couldn't get their ducks in a row and get the paperwork done. Well, I don't buy that. They wanted to put the spotlight on Hegseth so they can take him down.

So Gavin Newsom has announced some sort of "Marshall Plan" for rebuilding the likes of Malibu and Pacific Palisades.

For less upscale areas, there will instead be a Marshall's Plan.

And I've already heard the first Proggie acquaintance speak alarmedly about how DC has become "militarized" due to this.   Utterly predictable.
