Stephen Kruiser makes a fabulous point I've not seen anywhere else (granted, I haven't been reading as much news this past week, so surely someone else has said something like this):

... [T]he bureaucrats that President Trump, Elon Musk, and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) are going after have been acting like real scumbags. They're disobeying work directives and the law with abandon. They're calling for violence in the streets. If they were the upright citizens that Lozada seems to think they are, they would be making impassioned pleas for their jobs using the proper channels and — let's get super crazy here — facts supporting their jobs' continued existence.

That's such a crazy idea, it might work. Maybe. If the Dems could actually implement it.

Given that these charges were filed mere days after Bondi took her oath of office, I have to wonder yet again: how long have the members of the new Trump administration been working on their jobs? Because some of this work had to start before January 20.

Charlie Martin has a great take on the computer issues in the federal government.

Trying to update the leviathan in the federal government has been an issue for over 30 years now, and Musk is probably one of the few people who can push standardized new systems into place.

This is a wonderful argument to pull out against Lefties if they say we have to keep all those illegal aliens here: Religious Leaders Sue Trump Over Immigration...Violating Their Own Religious Doctrine!

Lots of meat in this, but the basic argument is thus:

They base their entire suit on the premise that the Torah welcomes the stranger, and it is true that this is a principal concept of their religions. As they say correctly in the opening two paragraphs of the suit, “The Torah lays our this tenet 36 times, more than any other teaching: 'The stranger who resides with you shall be to you as one of your citizens, you shall love them as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt' (Lev. 19:34).  They are absolutely correct that this is the most oft repeated teaching in our text.

Which is why they are absolutely incorrect about the immigration policies of the Trump administration being in opposition to the theology.

A simple reading of the verse equates the behavior of the immigrant to the behavior of the natural born citizen.   Immigrants are to be treated the same. This means that if he commits a crime, he is to be punished, the same as a natural born citizen would be punished for criminal action. They are to be treated the same… NOT treated preferentially.

This dropped late yesterday: Judge Issues Massive Blow to Federal Workers Trying to Stop Trump’s Layoffs

Quoting from Politico (which, honestly, is like quoting from the opposition party):

U.S. District Judge George O’Toole, an appointee of Bill Clinton, did not address whether the deferred-resignation program is legal. Instead, the judge ruled Wednesday that several unions that sued over the program lack legal standing to pursue the issue in court.

Murkowski is going to vote FOR RFK, Jr? Wow. I think I just saw a pig fly by.

Looks like Republicans in Congress are trying to implement material findings from DOGE analyses into the law. That seems like a good idea, if they can do it. Maybe this will split the attention of the Democrats and attacks again Musk and Congress will both fail as a result.

Kind of a no brainer, but the Dems had to throw their court-appointed legal fit:

Judge clarifies that Trump has authority to pause funding if orders comply with existing statutes

They haven't broken into our and demanded our hospitality.

The release of that message is actually a notice to Putin. That the SOSUS net is up and running and very capable.

Putin can't send any Russian submarines into the Atlantic without the US Navy knowing about it.

Not only did SOSUS record the implosion, it's location was triangulated with a high degree of accuracy with multiple SOSUS receivers.

DOGE discovers the Biden-Mayorkas illegal migration funding machine

Via the Department of Homeland Security, the Biden administration channeled billions to FEMA, which in turn granted states, cities and nonprofits money to transport, house and care for illegal aliens.

Observation; local news station has been running articles with polls on Trumps initiatives. This is Seattle remember. Every single poll so far has supported Trumps actions by 80% or more.

Trump, "lost" in WA, however I believe the fraud is so endemic that the results are questionable, the pattern in WA has existed since the 2000 election.

Wow. It's no wonder those figures aren't being shared in the national media.
