So I’m headed to Philadelphia next week with my son, to show him some US history and other sites. One remarkable thing is that hotel prices there seem to have been rolled back to levels of the early 2000s. I was stunned what good deals were available, even at very fancy hotels. Not sure what to make of that. Amtrak was available for shockingly cheap as well. It’s like pandemic pricing again!

I… guess…
for what it’s worth, I do think the Mig-21 is a beautiful piece of industrial design.

Reply to Occasional Reader in 3: Hotels have been notorious for adding mandatory fees to make their prices look lower. Watch out for "resort fees" "cleaning fees" paid wifi, and other random crap/

Reply to Occasional Reader in 4: No doubt the 21 is a beautiful machine. It's like the South Park Kathleen Kennedy episode. MAKE IT GAY AND MAKE IT LAME!
