Michigan church shooting leaves multiple victims; police say shooter ‘down’ A gunman was "down" after setting a fire and shooting multiple people at a Michigan church where hundreds were attending service on Sunday, authorities said. The active shooter situation unfolded just before 10:30 a.m. local time at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc Township, the Grand Blanc Township Police Department said in a post on social media. "There are multiple victims and the shooter is down," police said. "There is NO threat to the public at this time. The church is actively on fire."

It appears that Eric Adams has bowed out of the NYC mayoral race. That leaves Cuomo (ugh) and Sliwa, running on the "no chance" ticket, against Mamdani. Yet, much as Cuomo has many grounds on which to be despised, even he would be better than Mamdani.

Well, I got the blog to start on my new computer after fixing some 3rd party package installation. Doesn't run because the SQL server installation decided to store paths to the wrong drive. Working to fix that. Actually, I had to first fix a problem with file allocation unit size. Once I have it working on my systems i'll push the changes. Before then, I might try to see what is screwed up about the particular messed up threads. Might be a simpler solution.
