Um, ouch! I'm a decent swimmer, but not that good--as evidence by the workload this week. Sheesh. It's enough to make me seriously think about retiring, even though I can't afford to.

Palestinian terrorist hijacked an Air France plane with Israelis flying from Tel-Aviv to Athens. They diverted plane to Entebbe, Uganda, Idi Amin the dictator in Uganda supported the terrorists.

Yonatan Netanyahu led the raid on Entebbe to rescue the hostage. They flew C-130s from Israel to Uganda over 2000 miles one way. They refueled in Kenya secretly with permission. After landing, They used a limo identical to Idi Amin's to get close to the where the hostage were located. Rescued all the hostage except for one which had been taken to a hospital.
As there were loading the last person on the plane was Yonatan Netanyahu he was shot and killed in the last moments.

There is a pretty good movie "Raid on Entebbe" about it. It stands as the greatest hostage rescue mission in history, greatest distance, lowest casualties, tactically brilliant.

Sounds like it. I probably saw that on the news with my grandparents, but it's not something I remember hearing.
