The Olympics have declared: women's events are for biological females. Full stop. 

Put that in the win column. 

Thune caved into some of Democrats demands in order to fund Homeland Security, by withholding funding for ICE and some parts of CBP. It wasn't a complete capitulation, but it gave them the important visuals. 

Put that in the loss column, as far as I am concerned.

A judge has prevented the Department of War from stopping the use of Anthropic's AI tools due to its new designation as a national security supply-chain risk. Judge Rita Lin found that the risk analysis "is likely both contrary to law and arbitrary and capricious", thereby saying the she knew everything that went into that analysis despite not being employed by the Department of War.  

The judges really do think they are gods, apparently.

I really wish they had chosen notable Republican governors, presidents, or notable leaders, rather than Trump himself, for the imagery. If he wanted to add his signature to the bills, fine; give him that.

It's not that the Republicans are not smart; it is that they don't want to win.   They are too comfortable as the Palooka Party which, like a cheap palooka in a '30s boxing movie, puts up a show of fight for the first few rounds before taking a spectacular dive in exchange for the guaranteed short money.
