I was, initially, very pleased at your reappearance---we could use a little more participation.   But I have to confess I find your various recent screeds somewhat confusing. 

However much Gramsci, in the Great Beyond, may be rejoicing at his successes, I do not understand what relevance that has here.  While the comments here are at present all too few, I have not found them to be doctrinaire in any way; if someone wishes to challenge, disagree, or dissent with another's comments there has been no instance I can recall where someone has lapsed into mere doctrinaire jargon rather than engaging in discussion of whatever issue is at hand.  I, and I think most if not all of our remaining coterie, would be happy to engage in discussion of whatever issue was currently at hand, regardless of whether we agreed or disagreed. This site has in my experience been notable for its participants' willingness to engage, with a civility notably absent on many sites, with such engagement.  

It is my sincere hope that you will return and add your voice, from whatever position, to whatever topic arises in the future.

Maybe if you hadn't been absent for 7 years it would be more like what you'd prefer.
