Dr. Fauci started today saying he would not answer questions.

But he has a get-out-of-jail free card. What difference, at this point, does it make?

I'm hoping Rand Paul gets him so riled up he replies to something.

Newscum is a dead man walking, politically.

Former Gavin Newsom aide shares fresh details of affair

The fact that this story is now coming out means the DSA wants Newscum out of the way. Since every vice is permitted to the left, the only have "believe all women" left. The couldn't get Platner for being a Nazi, they had to roll out sexual thing. Which is hilarious given the history of prominent (D)s and their escapades.

Dem. Edwin Edwards side, "I win even if I was found in bed with a dead girl or a dead boy." The dems have changed.

All kinds of women will be coming out of the woodwork now with Newscum did me stories.

Please no. My body can't handle hurling anymore about sordid Democrat tales.

The woman is saying, i completely was consensual in the affair, but Newsome had power and that alone made me a victim.

AI Book Burning? Companies Are Destroying Millions of Books to Feed Chatbots

In brief

AI companies are anonymously buying physical books in bulk and destroying them after scanning them for AI training.

Booksellers say demand for obscure and out-of-print titles has surged, raising fears that rare books are disappearing.

A federal judge ruled that destructive scanning of legally purchased books can qualify as fair use, even as separate copyright litigation continues.

After the only source for a text is AI, who validates the accuracy of the digitized text?

Orwell looms large!

Yay! Made it back on!  I've been flat on my back for 3 days with some kind of bug, and it's great to actually be emerging from the fog.

I've said for years that without hard-copy books, you don't know/can't check that what you're getting in some other form is accurate---not to mention that there are many books (novels as well as works of reference) which are revised from time to time, and a hard-copy allows you to know exactly what you're looking at.

Unfortunately, my stomach will not yet tolerate the fluids I'd prefer---but all in good time.  Meantime, I'm re-enacting Rip Van Winkle in small spurts.
