Here, we're just having the nonstop sounds of chain saws, electrical trucks with buckets going up to power poles, and the like going on. We'll be digging out of this one for a solid month in some areas.

A little tableau from my derp blue neighborhood, from earlier today.

“Progressive”-Looking Lady is walking by “Homeless” Guy (i’m actually pretty sure he lives in a low income apartment building just a block away), and he asks her for money, “so I can get something to eat“.

She says she doesn’t have any money, then  points to a nearby pizzeria and says, “do you want me to get you a slice?” He says yes.  She starts to walk into the pizzeria.

“ and make sure it’s extra hot!” He shouts after her.  She nods.

“ and add on garlic, hot peppers and extra Parmesan!” he shouts.  “Uh, okay”, she says.

“ and make it two slices”, he shouts.  She nods.  Then she timidly suggest, “maybe you should just come in and order?“.

“ I’m not allowed in there, so you have to do it!” He says.  

You just can’t make this stuff up.

Reminds me when I was in NYC at the Broadway Kosher Market, and a person was asking for money for food. A woman answered "Waht do you want? I'll buy it"
That place had GREAT food. If the beggar wanted to eat, she'd eat well. If she wanted money for booze or drugs, well, nope.
