What? No one here commented on Dolly Parton's passing yesterday? Tsk tsk. Her philanthropy work alone made her noteworthy because of how quietly she did it. The president has ordered flags to be at half staff for one week in her honor. I'm trying to figure out if the Dems are going to yell him at that, and then even more of America will see them for the sheep turds they are.
Flock cameras - the Supreme Court has stated there is no expectation of privacy in public places.
(I guess that's why they are called public places)

That's the camera. And yes if you are in public there is no expectation of privacy.
The data aggregation is not the same. Using flock cameras to track someone come under previously decided cases with cell phone tracking. SCOTUS has also ruled that using cell data, cameras, and other sources to actually track someone and build a profile without a warrant is illegal.
That use requires a warrant. But it is not even the law enforcement use to track a suspect, with a appropriate warrants, that I don't have a problem with.
It the the lack of transparency with the data, how it's used, etc... Flock makes certain claims, but then other statements by Flock execs contradict those statements. Like the CEO talking about a "data mosaic" combining multiple data sources. Which sounds more surveillance state.

Tim Curry passed away today, also at 80.
While he was best known as Frank N Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture show, here he is as the Pirate King in Gilbert and Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance. I have yet to find one where the pirates weren't gay, but this one is particularly gay
