We got a letter for each of our phone lines that Verizon is trying to get rid of copper phone lines. They can replace landlines with fiber, cable, or cell phone connections, in all cases supplying a device that lets regular phones connect,

I would love to get fiber, but my guess is they will use the cell phone network as that is cheapest. They want towns to subsidize the cost of installing fiber, and my town can't afford it.

I need to find how to send comments to the FCC because if they use cell phone network, I want them to first upgrade to 5G Ultraweideband, including free upgrades to everyone who has wireless home Internet to 5G. We get 5G signals, but not always, and they only support LTE.

Most likely, they won't upgrade the cell phone system and we'll have more traffic and worse performance.

CVS is constantly pushing vaccines. Text messages (which I have enabled to know when prescriptions are ready) and last time I was there, the POS terminal offered them and I had to find the decline button.
