We live at the edge of a forest, which means a carpet of leaves in the fall. And I mean a 70's shag carpet that you could lose a bagel in. We paid someone for a lot of raking; I'd have a wheelbarrow full after 5 minutes of raking, so it took a LONG time. Got a leaf blower/vacuum. Helps, but 4 vacuum bags later, I was tired and the batteries discharged. I think we'll still need to pay someone, or we'll have snow under the leafpocalypse.

The campus where I went to grad school had to have a huge army of gardeners and helpers to manage all the leaves in the fall from the huge number of trees on campus. I mean, one quad was basically a forest you could get lost in.
